Enzo Oreta sets record straight on ECQ ‘ayuda’
Malabon councilor Enzo Oreta denied that the city government deliberately slashed the financial aid received by poor residents during the lockdown imposed last year from P4,000 to P1,000.
Art cards circulated on social media featured Oreta’s photo with the text, “Dito na kayo mga boss, 4k mo gagawin nating 1k, ask me how.”
Oreta said no less than the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) had stressed that not all poor Filipinos were eligible to receive P4,000 during the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in 2021.
Citing information from DSWD, Oreta said poor residents who lived alone received P1,000, while families with four or more members got P4,000.
