Joy Belmonte lets love win as LGBT couples get their own ‘mass wedding’

Joy Belmonte may not have the power to wed same-sex couples, but she made sure to give these lovers something to hold on to.
The Quezon City mayor hosted a parallel event to the pre-Valentine’s Day mass wedding to cater to LGBT couples.
Pairs gathered and wore rainbow masks for their “panata ng pagmamahalan,” which is as close to a state-sanctioned union they can get for now.
“Love has no limits. Love is universal. Love wins, always,” the politiko said.
