Students of technical and vocational courses in Taguig no longer have to shell out money for their tools, as Rep. Lani Cayetano already shouldered that expense.

Cayetano’s staff recently led the distribution of tool kits for newly enrolled students of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Special Training for Employment Program.

In a Facebook post, Cayetano said the STEP aims to equip students with skills they can use for employment or to start their own business.

Among the benefits enjoyed by the students include: daily allowance during training, as well as allowance for internet connectivity, personal protective equipment and incident insurance.

Cayetano thanked the Taguig city council for their support for the STEP and her office’s other initiatives.
