Quezon City Mayor Joy Blemonte has signed an ordinance extending the validity of business permits and ancillary clearances until July 20, 2022.

Among the clearances covered by the extension under Ordinance no. SP-3084 are Sanitary Permits, Environmental Clearances, Tourism Accreditation Certificates, DPOS Security Clearances, Traffic Clearances, Liquor Permits, Market Clearances/Certificates, and Veterinary Clearances to July 20, 2022, if these are originally set to expire before this date.

Meanwhile, permits and clearances that are expiring after July 20, 2022 but before October 20, 2022 are now valid until October 20, 2022.

Belmonte said the extension complements the prolonged period given by the city government to taxpayers to settle their dues.

The mayor earlier said that the extension of the tax payment deadline is meant to provide relief to business owners affected by the multiple lockdowns implemented by the national government during the pandemic.
