Members of Caloocan City Public Safety and Traffic Management Department recently went to the market, not to buy groceries, but to check on people’s compliance to the “No Proof of Vaccination, No Entry” policy.

In a Facebook post, Caloocan Mayor Oca Malapitan said vaccination cards should be checked at public establishments as a requirement for entry.

People’s temperatures must also be checked, and they need to sign a health declaration form.

Malapitan said the aim of Ordinance No. 0959 Series of 2022 is to protect unvaccinated individuals from catching COVID-19 by limiting their movement outside their homes.

“Sa ganitong paraan, maiiwasan na magkaroon ng COVID-19 ang mga hindi bakunado na malaki ang tyansang magkaroon ng severe COVID-19 na maaaring mauwi sa pagpapaospital,” he said.

Malapitan reminded the public to always bring their vaccination cards when they go to any public or private establishment.
