Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto assured the public that the local government will remain proactive in dealing with COVID-19 amid the rising number of cases in the city.

In a January 5 Facebook post, Sotto said the number of COVID-19 cases in Pasig has risen to 456 from around 50 in December 2021.

He said among the preparations being undertaken by Pasig’s Beat Covid-19 Task Force include: the re-opening of the Covid Referral Center E.R. Extension at Rizal High School and preparation of a PLP tent in case there’s further increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

Sotto said the city government will also hire emergency health personnel for hospitals and contact tracing.

“Mag-ingat po tayo at sumunod sa mga health protocol,” the mayor added.
