Filipinos living with HIV/AIDS may find an ally in Congresswoman Lani Cayetano.

The Taguig representative showed her support on World AIDS Day, boosting the awareness campaign on the disease and hoping there are better medical interventions for the sick.

“At present, Taguig under the leadership of Mayor Lino, VM Ading Cruz and Council strongly commit to fighting this battle with its continuous services in helping our HIV/AIDS patients through the Taguig Social Hygiene and Drop-in Center,” the politiko said.

“We provide Telemedicine consultations, online mental health empowerment and HIV/AIDS counseling, door-to-door delivery (face masks, anti-retroviral drugs, contraceptives, vitamins, etc.), Ready-Test-Go kits, and daily phone calls to ensure patient care.”

“AIDS is a growing reality in the world and to a number of Filipinos. It is our duty as public servants to ease any burden for our people, to make sure that no one is left behind even in their personal battles,” she added.
