The Universidad de Manila (UDM) is set to resume the conduct of face to face classes and internship for medical and health-allied programs, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said on Wednesday, November 24.

Moreno, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Regents of UDM, formally accepted the Certificate of Authority for BS Nursing and BS Physical Therapy students granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

The authority to conduct limited face to face classes was granted by CHED after UDM’s compliance with the rigorous requirements crafted jointly by CHED and the Department of Health (DOH).

“Rest assured that UDM and the City Government of Manila will continue to work hand in hand and strive to ensure that quality education will always be given to the youth of the City of Manila,” Moreno said.

Among the changes implemented by UDM in the campus for the resumption of face to face classes include having proper floor markings, class scheduling, regular sanitation, installation of automatic alcohol dispensers and handwashing stations, QR code-based contact tracing, availability of an isolation tent, and comprehensive manual of various protocols related to battling and suppressing COVID-19.
