Toby Tiangco elated as Navotas logs lowest number of active cases
Navotas continues to set a new record in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic as the city logged its lowest number of active cases on November 23.
Only 14 new cases were logged compared to 17 on November 8. The City Health Office received 108 swab test results from the Philippine Red Cross, which all turned out negative.
“Wish granted. We’ve prayed and worked hard for our numbers to go down. This shows that all our efforts and sacrifices have borne fruit,” Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
“We cannot thank enough all our frontliners for their steadfast service to the city, and every Navoteño for doing their part in preventing the spread of COVID. Let us continue to keep each other safe by following the health protocols and getting ourselves vaccinated,” he added.
Tiangco said Navotas will start the roll out of booster shots for seniors and persons with comorbidities on November 24. Interested residents and employees of Navotas may set their vaccination appointment at https://covax.navotas.gov.ph/
