The local government of Valenzuela has finally resumed its governance tours after a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian welcomed on November 19 New Zealand’s Ambassador to the Philippines Peter Kell, who visited the city to learn about its good governance practices.
Among the places toured by Gatchalian and Kell were Tagalag Fishing Village, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science, Valenzuela City Special Education Center, at ang ating Disiplina Village sa Bignay.
In a Facebook post, Gatchalian thanked Kell for taking interest in Valenzuela and visiting the city.
“Mahalagang nagkakaroon tayo ng mga governance tour para mas maipakilala pa natin ang mga proyekto sa lungsod. Bukod dito, natututo rin tayo ng best practices mula sa iba’t ibang lugar gaya ng New Zealand,” he said.
