Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor will not resort to personal attacks against his rival in the 2022 elections.

Defensor said he would rather criticize the policies of the Quezon City government that he believes is not in the best interests of his constituents.

“Kasi mali, kahit na ho sa US, bantayan nyo ang Democrats at Republican nagdedebate sila on the question of policy, never personal,” said Defensor.

Defensor underscored the need to put the interest of the constituents in the center of policy making.

Earlier, Defensor criticized Quezon City government’s alleged purchase of overpriced ayuda packs thus limiting the number of beneficiaries, the failure to provide tablets to all students in public elementary and high school despite the huge budget for education, and the ordinance increasing the valuation of property, which in turn will increase the real property tax.

Defensor is running against reelectionist Mayor Joy Belmonte in the upcoming elections.
