Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco is spearheading the upgrade of the Navotas Polytechnic College after three decades.

Tiangco and his brother, Rep. John Rey Tiangco, led the groundbreaking of the new NPC, which will have 28 classrooms, nine laboratories, a library, gym, and study areas.

It will also house medical and dental clinics, a canteen, as well as outdoor sports and activity areas.

“NPC was built almost three decades ago. It is high time that we upgrade its facilities to make it more conducive for learning, improve the overall school experience of our students and teachers, and help enhance its delivery of quality education,” Tiangco said.

The mayor said the city government is putting a premium on education because it can transform the youth’s lives.

“We want Navoteño youth to have free access to high-quality tertiary learning, and be able to gain the knowledge and develop the skills and character they need to succeed in life,” he added.
