Valenzuela City’s emergency response got a big boost with the delivery of eight new ambulances to the local government.

The turnover on October 29 was witnessed by Mayor Rex Gatchalian and Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad Borja.

In a Facebook post, Gatchalian said five of the ambulances will be given to the Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO).

The remaining three ambulances, meanwhile, will be given to three barangays in the city’s second district.

Gatchalian said 64 rescue personnel will also be deployed to respond to any emergency calls.
