Protektado na rin! Toby Tiangco welcomes start of COVID-19 vaccination for minors
Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco is elated that children aged 12 to 17 can finally be protected against COVID-19 through vaccination.
The city government started Friday, October 22, its COVID-19 inoculation drive for minors with comorbidities.
“We are finally able to start the immunization of children against COVID-19. They are now offered the same protection like us adults. They will now have the same privileges that only vaccinated individuals enjoy. And soon, going back to school and attending physical classes will be a reality,” Tiangco said.
Children with co-morbidities are given priority because they have a higher risk of severe or critical infection and even death from COVID-19.
Parents whose children are eligible for vaccination can register via https://tinyurl.com/NavoBakuna-minors. They may also visit the city’s vaccination centers for onsite registration.
Vaccinees will receive a text message once they are scheduled for vaccination. They must go with their parents or guardians to the vaccination site, bringing with them a medical certificate from a pediatrician, and documentary requirements establishing the relationship of the vaccinees and their accompanying adults.
