Home of future Olympians: Wes Gatchalian sees promise in Valenzuela’s new sports arena

Deputy Speaker and Valenzuela City Rep. Wes Gatchalian is confident that the newly inaugurated Wellness Entertainment and Sports Arena will produce players who will bring home Olympic medals.
The WES Arena, located in a 1.2 hectare lot in Barangay Punturin has world-class facilities for basketball, badminton, volleyball, boxing, and martial arts.
It also has a dance studio, darts area, chess tables, billiards tables, food kiosks, medical clinic, VIP holding room, referee room, dugout, and locker rooms.
Gatchalian said that while the government is imposing limitations on indoor activities, WES Arena will be used as a vaccination site. Around 2,000 individuals could be vaccinated in the area daily.
Valenzuela City targets to vaccinate 476,000 residents of which 59% or 280,306 are now fully vaccinated.
