Vico Sotto knew at first glance that this was a scam email.

The Pasig City mayor issued a public warning against a fake phishing email announcing food packs for Pasig employees and requiring them to submit personal information through a supposed registration link. Apparently, it’s a ploy to steal sensitive personal data for a wide scam.

What gave it away? The letter used a sepia-toned logo of Pasig City plus a headshot of Sotto.

“Unang-una, bawal gamitin ang mukha ko sa official correspondence ng LGU haha,” the politiko said.
