Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi is urging parents and guardians to register their children aged 12 to 17 years old for COVID-19 vaccination following the issuance of an emergency use authorization (EUA) given to Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
Fresnedi said the pre-registration aims to create a database of the adolescents’ group eligible for COVID-19 vaccines in preparation for the final guidelines from the Department of Health.
Minors aged 12 to 17 years old may pre-register online through the city’s COVID-19 vaccination registration system: www.vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac and choose the category “C – Rest of Population.”
Latest data from the city government shows 507,964 COVID-19 vaccines have already been administered as of Sept. 8. Nearly half of the city’s population has already received a dose of the COVID-10 vaccine.
Of the total number of individuals vaccinated, at least 11,404 (first dose) and 597 (second dose) were inoculated in Muntinlupa private companies.
