Toby Tiangco thanks LGU, barangay personnel as Navotas completes ‘ayuda’ distribution
Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco has expressed gratitude to employees of the local government and barangays as the city completed its payout of cash assistance to residents.
Over 62,000 families in Navotas received P201 million in cash assistance. Of this amount, P199.9 million was funded by the national government, while P1.5 million came from the city government.
“We were able to finish the distribution of ECQ ayuda within the 15-day deadline. We are thankful to all our city government and barangay employees, as well as personnel of the Philippine National Police–Navotas, who took on the task of delivering prompt and efficient services in all payout venues,” Tiangco said.
The mayor said P24.6 million has been allotted by the city government to cover the cash assistance of persons with disability, solo parents, and the remainder of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries.
It will also benefit individuals and families who have yet to receive any financial assistance.
“Our grievance and appeals committee has started validating requests of constituents who have not received any cash assistance since the community quarantine began last year,” Tiangco said.
