Isko Moreno breaks ground for construction of 20-storey Pedro Gil Residences
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has launched a low cost, vertical housing project for poor families in the city so they can have decent homes.
Moreno on August 30 broke ground for the 20-storey Pedro Gil Residences located in San Andres Bukid.
The mayor said the housing project aims to uplift the status of the informal settlers in the nation’s capital.
“Habang busy tayong tumatakas sa pandemya, kailangan tuloy ang ating mga pangarap. Nakakapagod. Pero hindi baleng pagod basta makita kong nakangiti kayo masaya na ako,” Moreno said.
The Pedro Gil Residences will have 309 residential units, each with two bedrooms. It will also have 125 parking slots, health center, five elevator for residential units, swimming pool, activity lawn, function room, fitness center, roof garden at 6th floor roof deck, five units of rentable space, outdoor activity area at 7th, 13th, and 18th floors, and a basketball court at roof deck.
