Miro Quimbo gets nostalgic visiting Pag-IBIG’s old building
Miro Quimbo ran the show for years in this Makati building.
The former Marikina congressman got a bout of nostalgia as he walked into The Atrium, where he once worked in as head of the Home Development Mutual Fund, better known as Pag-IBIG.
What used to be a bustling place is now nothing but empty halls.
“I spent 9 years in this beautiful building, 8 of which as CEO of Pag-IBIG. When i started, I was a 31 year old struggling with the challenges that comes with being a new father. By the time I left, I had four kids and was a decade wiser,” the politiko shared.
“Today, Atrium is a ghost town. Except for two banks and a few establishments on the first floor, the place is practically abandoned – because of structural issues apparently. Sayang this place,” he added. “I hope someone can give this building another shot instead of demolishing it.”
