Simot na ayuda! Manila completes distribution of P1.5-M ECQ cash aid
In just 16 days, the local government of Manila has completed the distribution of financial assistance for families and individuals affected by the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila.
Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) Director Re Fugoso said a total of 380,820 families received about P4,000 cash aid each from August 11 to August 26.
As of 11:00 pm Thursday, August 26, the MDSW reported about P1.5-million worth of financial aid has already been distributed not only for all six districts of Manila, but also for transport groups and vulnerable groups in the city.
The MDSW is the agency authorized by the national government’s Department of Social Welfare (DSWD) to distribute the financial aid to beneficiaries.
Interior Secretary Eduardo Ano has allowed local government units in Metro Manila to distribute ECQ cash aid until August 31.
