Oca Malapitan orders police: Ensure MECQ guidelines are enforced
Caloocan Mayor Oca Malapitan met top officials of the city police force on Friday, August 20, to check on their law enforcement plans now that Metro Manila is under a looser quarantine classification.
Malapitan told Caloocan police chief Col. Samuel Mina that health and safety protocols should be strictly enforced during the duration of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until August 31.
He thanked the police for their vigilance despite the challenges of law enforcement amid a pandemic.
Mina, in response, vowed to step up police patrols and checkpoints in the coming days.
