No worries! Abby Binay shares how Makati takes care of COVID-19 patients under home quarantine
Residents of Makati City with mild COVID-19 symptoms don’t have to worry about food or medicines as they recover in the comfort of their homes.
In her August 16 column for Pilipino Star Ngayon, Makati Mayor Abby Binay shared that the city government has been distributing home care packages for those under home quarantine.
The kits include a COVID-19 Home Care Handbook, alcohol, oral antiseptic, sore throat spray, fever pad, thermometer, washable at disposable face masks, pulse oximeter, vitamins and medicine for fever.
Binay said residents on home quarantine are also given food packs while those who have Yellow Cards have their medicines delivered at their doorstep.
The mayor said the city government is doing its best to ensure hospitals are not overwhelmed by the number of COVID-positive individuals going there.
“Napakahalaga na mapagaling agad ang ating mild cases na naka-home quarantine. Kapag naagapan ang kanilang kondisyon ay hindi na kakailanganin pang ma-admit sila sa ospital,” Binay said.
