Done in 15 days: Oca Malapitan eyes speedy ‘ayuda’ distribution for 3rd ECQ
Caloocan Mayor Oca Malapitan will harness technology to fast track the distribution of cash assistance to residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
At the start of the cash aid distribution on Wednesday, August 11, Malapitan said the local government will work with the e-wallet company USSC to release money to the beneficiaries.
He said the local government aims to finish the distribution of cash aid to the 410,000 qualified beneficiaries within 15 days.
Each qualified family will receive anywhere between P1,000 and P4,000 for the two-week ECQ.
The start of cash aid distribution in Caloocan was attended by Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Bautista and Department of Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya.
