Abby Binay calls for cooperation of residents, biz establishments during ECQ
Makati Mayor Abby Binay is calling on residents and business establishments to cooperate with the guidelines issued by the government for the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila.
In her August 9 column for Pilipino Star Ngayon, Binay said Executive Order No. 21 she issued specifies who are authorized to go out of their homes and which business establishments are allowed to operate from August 6 to 20.
Binay said business establishments wishing to remain open should submit a Notice of Reopening to the Business Permits and Licensing Office.
“[M]ahigpit dapat ang pagpapatupad ng social distancing measures pati na ang skeleton staffing, temperature checking at pagsusuot ng face masks at face shield ng mga empleyado at mga kustomer,” she said.
The mayor expressed optimism that the country could overcome the threat of the Delta COVID-19 variant with everyone’s cooperation.
