Rex Gatchalian had yet another reason to be proud of Valenzuela City.

The mayor announced that the Department of Health put into writing its respect for the local COVID-19 response, which it included in the workplace handbook for testing laboratories nationwide.

“So proud of our Valenzuela Hope Molecular Laboratory. Truly world class operations. DOH’s handbook cited their operations as a model of good practice,” the politiko said.

Indeed, the manual cited Valenzuelas as a “model city in COVID-19 prevention and response,” having built its own testing laboratories, using the ValTrace contact tracing system, banning home quarantine, and passing local ordinances against COVID-19 spread.
