Ruffy Biazon tries to explain offending DepEd module in Pampanga
Ruffy Biazon found an explanation for the glaring mistake that led to the now-viral learner’s module distributed in Pampanga, which used a slang word that meant something else in Tagalog.
The Muntinlupa congressman said the unfortunate use of “makakantot” or “maaswang” in the Filipino module could have better alternatives instead of these controversial word choices.
“Whoever wrote that must’ve been thinking of the colloquial use of ‘nang-aaswang,’ which refers to men coming on to women in the hopes of “scoring,” the politiko said.
