Edwin Olivarez tells Parañaque barangay captains: Keep up good work on COVID control
Edwin Olivarez told barangay captains in Parañaque City to maintain the strict implementation of COVID-19 quarantine protocols after showing huge progress in reducing local infections.
In a memo to barangay captains, the mayor said they should keep doing what they’ve been doing right.
“From the data gathered by our public health officers, it is obvious that there is a steady and significant drop of active COVID cases in the city mainly because of the strict implementation and enforcement of the health protocols by the barangay officials and frontliners during the Enhanced Community Quarantine,” the politiko said, adding it contributed to the decision to scale down to MECQ.
“The gains that we achieved from the zealous enforcement of the minimum health protocols should not only be preserved but must outgrow the ills that COVID-19 has plagued our country,” he added.
