Solo flight! Gian Sotto presides meeting in empty session hall

Gian Sotto is literally a frontliner at the Quezon City Hall.

The vice mayor showed up for work at the City Council plenary hall for their weekly session, but it was an uncanny setup as the politiko looked like he was talking to an invisible group of councilors.

Thankfully, the huge screens set up inside the room showed his colleagues joining in through video conferencing.

“Physically separate, but united in service. The 21st City Council resumed its session with majority of the councilors virtually attending to ensure that social distancing will be observed,” Sotto said.

He seems to be following his dad Senate President Tito Sotto’s footsteps, who has also been reporting at the Senate plenary hall while most of other lawmakers are working from home. It runs in the blood!
