Protektado sa bahay: Isko Moreno orders house-to-house COVID-19 vaccination for bedridden residents

The city government of Manila started administering coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) jabs to bedridden individuals on Friday.

In a Facebook post, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the Manila Health Department (MHD) conducted home service vaccination.

“Inatasan ko po ang mga barangay official na magsiyasat ng kanilang mga barangay at magtala ng mga mamamayan na bedridden. Ibig sabihin mamamayan po na 18 pataas ‘di lang ‘yung senior basta itala nila (I tasked barangay officials to investigate in their own villages and list down their constituents who are already bedridden. This means residents who are 18 years old and above, not just the elderly),” Domagoso stated.

Aside from the beneficiary’s consent, the MHD also asks for the approval of family members or doctors.

The MHD vaccinated bedridden patients in Barangay 862 in Pandacan, Manila.

As of posting time, the city government has yet to provide the data on the exact number of beneficiaries of home visits.

On Thursday, Manila received 2,000 doses of Sinovac jabs from the national government.

Also on Friday, the vaccination continued for the A1, A2, and A3 lists and medical front-liners from the A1.1 to A1.7 categories who received their first doses on March 2 to 18. (PNA)
