Toby Tiangco’s gut saw this year’s wave of cases as more threatening well before health authorities did.

The Navotas City mayor seemed to have some psychic vision as he shared receipts of his consultations with public health adviser Dr. Tony Leachon, where he said in early March: “I am really more worried now than July and August last year, sobrang nakakahawa ang variant ngayon.”

Even the Department of Health admitted it did not expect cases to surge to as high as 8,000 per day this month. That’s some spidey sense!
