Rex Gatchalian thanks Lacson for backing early curfew hours

POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.
Policy makers are often misunderstood, so hearing someone’s support is a satisfying pat on the back.
Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian was thrilled to hear Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson backing the decision of Metro Manila mayors to revert curfew hours to 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. everyday across the region, hoping it will discourage gatherings and help temper the spread of COVID-19 infections. It’s a stop-gap measure as cases surge anew.
Lacson said it was a good move, which left Gatchalian relieved. “He is a senator that understands the situation on the ground,” he said, happy to find an ally.
