Maraming pagpipilian! Lino Cayetano vows ‘good portfolio’ of COVID-19 vaccines for Taguig

Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano has promised to provide COVID-19 vaccines to the city’s one million residents as to hasten people’s return to normalcy amid the pandemic.

In a statement, Cayetano admitted challenges in vaccine procurement but said the local government is working on securing the needed supply for residents.

“The City of Taguig commits to have vaccines available for its 1 million citizens and is working closely with the national government and various vaccine suppliers. Together with the national government supply, we are complementing this with LGU orders so we have a good portfolio of vaccines available to our citizens,” he said.

While awaiting the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines, Cayetano reminded the public to continue observing minimum health standards to prevent the spread of the virus.

“The worldwide supply shortage makes this challenging but as we wait for the bulk of vaccines to arrive, we believe we can continue Taguig’s road to zero campaign and to stop the spread of the virus in our community,” he said.
