Ruffy Biazon says Commonwealth shootout another proof cop bodycams needed

Ruffy Biazon had yet another “I told you so” moment when it comes to police bodycams.

The Muntinlupa congressman made yet another case for his long-pending proposal to legislate the requirement for law enforcement operatives to wear police body cameras during official business.

The investigation regarding the misencounter between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police outside Ever Gotesco Commonwealth would be cut short if only they only had cameras on them the whole time.

“It’s an instance like this when bodycams in law enforcement operations are needed to have a record of what really happened. Exactly as embodied in legislation that I’ve been pushing for since 2016,” the politiko said, pointing out his bill has been ignored for five years now.
