Mandaluyong councilor Charisse Abalos took time off from her busy schedule to meet with parents and teachers to hear their concerns about distance learning.

Abalos met with representatives of the GPTA (General Parents-Teachers Association) from the Mandaluyong Federation of Parents-Teachers Association (MANDAFED), Mandaluyong Elementary School (MES) and Jose Fabella Memorial School (JFMS).

“Atin pong pinakinggan ang mga magulang, guro pati na rin ang mga estudyante sa mga kinakaharap na problema at isyu sa mga paaralan ngayong pandemya,” she explained in a Facebook post.

Abalos said she was elated by the programs presented to her by GPTA officers. She’s also hopeful that their plans will help students cope better with distance learning.

The councilor said she made sure minimum health protocols were followed during the meeting to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
