Ruffy Biazon thinks DOTr policy to penalize drivers for erring passengers absurd
How can a jeepney driver do his job if he’s also tasked to police commuters on how they wear their face masks and face shields?
Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon called out the Department of Transportation once again for another epic booboo. After the deferred child car seat and motor vehicle inspection centers comes yet another problematic policy from the regulator.
The politiko reacted violently to a report that a traffic enforcer almost slapped a P2,000 fine on a jeepney driver after three passengers were caught not wearing their face shields properly.
“I think jeepney drivers would definitely find it hard to keep their eye on the road while checking on each and every passenger boarding or riding the jeepney if they are wearing face shields or masks,” Biazon said.
Do drivers need a third eye on the nape now?
