It’s time for Senator Leila De Lima to be released from detention.

Former Akbayan party-list Representative Tom Villarin believes there is more than enough justification for the regional trial courts to grant bail to the abogado and lawmaker who President Rodrigo Duterte’s men sent to jail for drug and corruption charges.

The politiko read about the claim of the De Lima camp saying there are no witnesses that proved her links to illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison during her time as Justice secretary.\

“Our courts should uphold the right of the accused to post bail, also grant request for demurrer to evidence!,” Villarin said, with the hashtag #FreeSenLeilaDeLima now.
