Game na! Abby Binay: Makati all set for mass COVID-19 vaccination
Makati Mayor Abby Binay is confident about the smooth rollout of the city government’s COVID-19 vaccination program based on the results of the simulation activity held last week.
In her February 8 column for Pilipino Star Ngayon, Binay shared that the city government targets to vaccinate around 1,000 people daily in the first phase of the immunization program, which will be held at the Makati Coliseum.
The first phase of Makati’s COVID-19 vaccination program will cover over 30,000 frontliners, which include medical personnel, the police and firefighters.
“Masasabi kong handa na tayo batay sa naging resulta ng dry run na nagpakitang nasunod natin ang pamantayan ng Department of Health, kabilang na ang itinagal ng bawat hakbang sa proseso para sa bawat indibiduwal. Nais ko ring paikliin ang process flow mula sa kasalukuyang limang hakbang kaya’t pinag-aaralan na ito ng ating task force,” Binay said.
The mayor said there will be a total of 32 vaccination sites for the second and third phase of the vaccination program, which will cover both Makati residents and non-residents who go to the city on a daily basis.
She said the city government is ready to respond to any post-vaccination reactions through the dedicated 24/7 teams of Makati Rescue, Ospital ng Makati and Incident Command Post; Emergency hotlines 168 and the Makatizen App, and the Makati COVID-19 hotlines.
