Parang subdivision! Stella Quimbo breaks ground for Marikina community’s new clubhouse
Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo is bent on improving infrastructure in the city’s second district for the benefit of residents.
Quimbo recently led the groundbreaking for the new clubhouse that will be built in Bukang Liwayway, Brgy. Tumana. She was joined in the event by her husband, former Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo and barangay captain Ziff Ancheta.
Residents expressed their gratitude to the Quimbos for making the construction of new infrastructure in their barangay a priority. Over the years, they noted the various improvements in the community due to the couple’s efforts in Congress.
“Kung dati’y maputik (kung tag-ulan) at maalikabok (kung tag-araw) sa barangay, ngayo’y halos sementado na ang buong lugar at marami nang proyektong pambayan dito, tulad ng daycare centers, clubhouses, at health centers,” read Quimbo’s post.
The lawmaker shared that some residents have come to consider their barangay as the “Lower Loyola Grand Villas” due to the amenities they’re able to enjoy and use.
