Handa na pagdating ng bakuna: Oca Malapitan orders formation of COVID-19 vaccination teams
Caloocan Mayor Oca Malapitan has ordered the formation of teams that will administer COVID-19 vaccines to residents once supplies are available.
The vaccination teams will be led by doctors and nurses. Meanwhile, public schools with adequate area and ventilation will be designated as vaccination sites.
Based on the Department of Health’s guidelines, vaccination sites should have a waiting area, a registration area, a screening area, a counseling area, a vaccination area and a post-vaccination area where those who received the vaccine will be monitored for at least 30 minutes.
Malapitan said it was important that the city government prepare ahead of the vaccine’s arrival later this year.
“Wala po tayong sasayanging oras laban sa pandemyang ito. Pagdating na pagdating ng bakuna, kailangan ay handa na tayo at ibibigay na lamang ito sa mga mamamayan,” he said.
Malapitan assured healthcare workers that they will be prioritized for the COVID-19 vaccine once supplies reach Caloocan.
