Para mas maraming mabakunahan! Fresnedi: Muntinlupa to buy200K more doses of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine
Muntinlupa will buy additional 200,000 doses of Astrazeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine so more residents will be vaccinated, Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said.
The new order will be on top of the 100,000 doses initially secured by the local government as part of an earlier tripartite agreement with the National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals Philippines.
The city government has earmarked P170 million for the initial procurement of COVID-19 vaccines once they are available and approved for use in the country.
National Immunization Program Coordinator for COVID-19 in Muntinlupa Dra. Maria Rochelle Abat said that 28 health workers from the City Health Office were already trained for the vaccine administration as part of the local immunization program.
Meanwhile, the Muntinlupa City Health Office (CHO) is preparing for the operational logistics of the vaccination program and will be purchasing storage equipment for the vaccines.
