Walang titigil! Rex Gatchalian posts huge ‘barriers up’ signs near NLEX toll gates
Rex Gatchalian reminds motorists anew not to halt their cars by the toll gates of the North Luzon Expressway.
The Valenzuela mayor had gigantic sign boards made and planted near the entry and exit points of the Salim-MVP Group’s tollway in the city, hoping to further ease traffic and change the behavior of drivers from what they were long used to.
With the politiko’s efforts to go against the big business, NLEX toll barriers will be permanently raised between 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. everyday. Fees will be collected digitally using the RFID stickers.
“Solution we got from the NLEX issue. Barriers up,” Gatchalian said. “In order for us to keep traffic flowing, do not do a full stop. Slow down to 30 kph but not a halting stop.”
