May social distancing daw! Isko Moreno claims success in hosting Nazareno masses during COVID
Isko Moreno is denying gross violations of health protocols as hundreds of thousands of devotees flocked Quiapo Church on what would have been the annual Traslacion.
The mayor insisted throughout the day that the battery of masses at the church complied with social distancing to prevent COVID-19 spread, even as numerous photos captured online say otherwise.
“Maraming salamat po sa mga deboto na nakikiisa sa panawagan ng pamahalaan na sumunod sa ating mga public health protocols,” the politiko said, even denying police numbers that 400,000 people gathered in the area –– against the 400 allowed inside the church per mass.
His motto “Manila, God First!” seems to have a new meaning now.
Maraming salamat po sa mga deboto na nakikiisa sa panawagan ng pamahalaan na sumunod sa ating mga public health protocols.
Always wear face masks, wear face shields and maintain physical distancing.
