You’ll be held accountable! Vico Sotto warns of sanctions over fake news on senior citizen cash cards
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto has vowed to go after individuals who spread fake news about the supposed distribution of senior citizens’ cash cards.
Sotto appealed to senior citizens on Friday, December 4, to return to their homes as there was no scheduled release of the cash cards from Landbank.
“Sa mga SENIOR CITIZENS, WALA PO KAMING PINAPAPILA NGAYON. HINDI NA PO KAILANGAN NG VERIFICATION DAHIL NASA AMIN NA ANG APPLICATION FORMS NIYO AT PRINTING NA PO ANG LANDBANK NG CASH CARDS! UMUWI NA PO MUNA KAYO,” he said.
“INUULIT KO PO: YUNG MGA PILA NGAYON AY HINDI PO COORDINATED SA OFFICE OF SENIOR CITIZENS AFFAIRS (OSCA) NG LGU. SA MGA NAGPAPILA NGAYON: YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE,” Sotto added.
The mayor said details on the distribution of senior citizens’ cash cards will be posted on the official Facebook page of the Pasig City Public Information Office. The information will also be cascaded to barangays.
