Swerte ng balwarte! DPWH- Mark Villar builds P35M isolation facility for Las Piñas
Public Works Secretary Mark Villar has made sure that his family’s bailiwick, Las Piñas City, has more than enough facilities to treat people with COVID-19.
Villar recently turned over 27 container vans which have been converted into a 96-bed quarantine or isolation facility to the city’s local officials.
Each of the 24 units of the 40-footer container vans, located inside Goodyear Compound in Barangay Almanza, has four rooms complete with healthcare amenities, toilets and utilities. Another two units 20-footer container vans serve as nurse station and one unit of another 20-foot container van is for X-ray facilities.
The 35-million budget allocation for the project, known as “Rehabilitation of Disaster-Related Infrastructure,” came from the DPWH’s regular fund for 2020 and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund.
Villar’s sister, Las Pinas Rep. Camille Villar also witnessed the occasion, which was a partnership between the DPWH and Las Pinas City government in coordination with the National Development Company.
