Lawyer murders have been a feature of the Duterte administration.

Former Akbayan Rep. Tom Villarin was in anguish as he learned about the gunning down of Atty. Joey Wee in Cebu, which happened right outside his law office.

“A friend & husband of a former colleague in an NGO shot by gunmen in office show lawlessness & impunity as the legacy of Duterte’s regime,” the politiko said. “His kill kill kill rhetoric promotes ‘culture of death’.”

The cry for justice for all the victims of these killings went even louder.
