Nakatipid gobyerno! Isko Moreno signs deal with GSIS to settle P126M unpaid dues
The city government of Manila has saved close to P68.5 million after Mayor Isko Moreno entered into an agreement with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) to settle its unpaid obligation.
In a Facebook post, Moreno said GSIS had agreed to bring down the city government’s total obligation to P126 million from the original P195 million. This, he said, resulted in savings amounting to P68,492,657.22.
Moreno assured that the local government will pay its dues to GSIS starting January 2021.
Joining the mayor in the signing of the memorandum of agreement were GSIS general manager and president Rolando Macasaet, and GSIS executive vice president Nora Malubay.
