Find out what QC stakeholders want in local investment program up to 2023

Quezon City’s Planning and Development Department has released the results of the initial round of votes from the members of the City Development Council (CDC) on priority programs to be included in the City’s Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) for 2021-2023.

The votes were tallied live via Zoom last October 16 and was attended by representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), barangay captains from the city’s 142 barangays and the rest of the CSOs, NGO/PO members.

The Local Development Investment Program is formulated through a highly-consultative process to provide policy guidance in allocating the investible portion of the annual general fund budget for implementing and funding development programs, projects and activities identified in the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) and the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) of the city.

Among top three voted programs from first screening are:

Social Development Sector:
– Health Human Resource Development Program
– Upgrading of Regular Health Centers to Deliver 24-Hour Service
– Implementation of Universal Health Care Law: Improving Health Service Delivery
Economic Development Sector:
– Development of Medical Integrated Program
– Market Rehabilitation Program
– Development of New Major Food Markets / Food Terminal / Warehouse (In Partnership with the National Government)
Environmental Development Sector:
– Establishment of Permanent Evacuation Centers
– Responsive Special Waste Management Operations
– Establishment and Installation of an Effective Monitoring System
Physical and Infrastructure Development Sector:
– Flood Control and Drainage Development Program
– Road Network Development Program
– Socio-Economic Infrastructure Development Program
Institutional Development Sector:
– Construction/Improvement of Government Building Offices / Facilities
– Enhancement of Communication System
– Networking and Web Page Services, On-Line Computer Based Information System

The result of this rating exercise will serve as basis of the CDC during plenary in classifying which among these programs/projects shall be treated as priority for implementation for 2021, 2022 and 2023 annual budgets.
