Emi Calixto-Rubiano allots sizeable budget for health, infra projects
Pasay City residents are now relishing upgraded social services with newly accomplished projects in education, health, infrastructure and other aspects.
More opportunities for students are given as the Pasay Local School Board approved the construction of five-story school buildings, rehabilitation, renovation, and restoration of 10 school buildings electrical facilities, and rehabilitation and renovation of 12 school buildings and facilities.
Also, Pasay Mayor Imelda “Emi” Calixto-Rubiano allocated P68.034 million to procure and distribute uniforms, bags, and instructional materials to various schools in Pasay to improve the quality of education.
Additional scholarship grants were given to the deserving students across the college, high school, and elementary level as the fund increases to P16.616 million.
Medical facilities were upgraded by buying various needed medical equipment and machines worth P316.734 million for effective and efficient hospital services.
Meanwhile, Pasay’s indigent constituents including its senior citizens under its health care services, health maintenance, and medial outreach programs will receive drugs, medicines, and vaccines worth P358.099 million.
Rubiano also acquired 3,422.67 square meters of land to be used for the socialized housing project in favor of Horse Shoe Homeowners Association and for the City’s poor and indigent families.
The Pasay City Welfare Development Office implemented numerous programs to improve the daily living of its constituents such as daycare services, supplemental feeding, rescue operations for street children, provision of social protection and therapeutic care environment for youth.
The women sector will have a financial assistance program and seminars, training, and workshop while community welfare programs will be launched such as burial assistance, crisis intervention, and empowerment of persons with disabilities and emergency relief assistance.
