Stella Quimbo counters DOTr’s s vanishing social distance

The plan to let passengers sit closer and closer to each other is just the recipe for disaster.

Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo countered the Department of Transportation’s surprise plan to let commuters observe shorter social distancing while aboard public utility vehicles and trains, which was supposed to let more people get to work and earning amid the pandemic.

“Increasing the number of operating jeeps and UV express is safer and more impactful than reducing social distancing,” the politiko said.
